Our fourth piece of art for the Stocktake show has come in courtesy of Potteries Museum and Art Gallery's Ian Vines.

AirSpace 6th Birthday Bash...

 

Friday 23rd March 6-9pm

AirSpace is 6 years old this year, and we would love you to come and celebrate with us.

We are having a party on March 23rd, which is due to coincide with the end of our Stocktake exhibition.
Over the month running up to the party the AirSpace team have taken up residence in the gallery, and have put together an exhibition which documents all that we have done since opening, but is also a chance to evaluate and plan for the future Stocktake is an exhibition and a series of workshops, events and happenings in the gallery aiming to revisit our successes, consulting our audience and the people we have worked with (you) on the bits you loved, and the bits you didn't, in order to also find out what people would like us to do next.
At the end of the process we will have taken stock, looked back, and planned for the future of AirSpace. Come along and raise a glass to the future with us.
If you want to send us a birthday card you can do by post with a Postcard, showing us your vision for the future of AirSpace (to be displayed on our future wall in the gallery).

Stocktake Poster Riot posters - the prints

After two busy days of print and poster making - the future of Airspace and the arts in the city are a lot clearer. thanks to everyone who turned up and enjoyed the process. Here are the results:

Art for the Terrified

Tuesday 20th March: 6.00pm - 7.30pm

'Art for the Terrified' An illustrated talk presenting a rudimentary look at the progress of art from classicism to now. Although not a comprehensive art historical talk it will give those who wonder why artists make the work they do, an insight into how the idea of art and the artist has changed over time and resulted in the situation we are currently in where the artisan has become media figure often at the centre of controversy and discussion, but is it really that radical? or a movement away from antiquated ideology?.  Come along and join in the discussion!!!
